Purchased direct from the Basscat factory (not a dealer) in 2004. It has been an absolutely great, trouble free boat, and has caught a lot of fish. The story on the multiple model years of this rig - the boat came from California and Basscat put the 2000 motor on it from another boat at the factory. Basscat went through the whole boat and detailed it out completely – it was really almost like a new boat when I got it. Basscat even gave me a warranty on the motor when I bought it (since expired) – never any problems. They checked the motor out and the only thing that showed in its history was that it had a trim solenoid replaced at some point I believe – it’s never missed a beat in the 3 years I have had it. Basscat put this boat and motor on a brand new 03 trailer, and that’s how I bought it.
I have always taken good care of this rig - wiped down / washed after being used, waxed, etc. When not being used, it has always been stored (clean) in my garage. It does have a few scratches – but nothing severe, structural or significant – it’s in great shape and gets plenty of compliments. 1998 Basscat Pantera Classic19’, single console, 2 LCD Fishfinders (1 Eagle Ultra Classic on dash, 1 Lowrance X75 up front – both with temp, 3 transducers), in dash flasher, hot foot, turn signal trim, dual onboard charger, 3 new Delco Voyager Maintenance Free batteries in spring 2007. Replaced some of the gas lid shocks in 2007 also. Deck Extension, home made rod organizer in starboard box, removable home made box holders in center tackle locker. Custom cover by Kens Custom Covers in great shape ($600+) . Includes 2 matching butt seats (1 power pedestal and 1 manual) and 1 matching sit down seat for the rear on a fixed pedestal. Also have padded matching center cushion for the seat (not shown). Runs 67 or so loaded heavy, 70 light. I am sure prop height could be messed with and the prop tuned for more speed if desired (that was fast enough for me and I quit messing with it).
2000 Mercury 200 EFIHours – honestly don’t know. I do know I have fished it for 3 years, about 10 club tournaments a year around Missouri – only a few last year, had it out once this year to date. Has always performed flawlessly –started and ran fine hot or cold. New impeller and spark plugs installed in spring 2007. Merc 25p Tempest (3 blade SS). Always used Merc Premium Plus oil in it. The edges of some of the decals on the back of the cowling have peeled some, some wear on front of skeg (how I received it). Prop has never been reworked – has some dings not bad – could be reworked for optimum performance if wanted. I have a spare 25M Yamaha prop to go with it.
2003 Basscat TrailerThis was a brand new trailer when I got the boat from Basscat. Surge disc brakes, aluminum wheels, and spare, fiberglass fenders. Bearings gone through and new seals in spring 2007.
1998 Minnkota Maxxum 74lbRuns fine, have a couple spare used props for it also.
Asking $14,400 (scroll down for NADA values)
Reason for selling? Have not used it much recently, and do not anticipate being to use it much if at all in the foreseeable future - can't justify the investment if I won't be able to use it.
